Book Description:
This is an Young Adult Fantasy Novel
Twin sisters Ava and Hannah were ripped from their peaceful seeming lives into a whirlwind of attacks and war only to learn the real truth about their existence.
Nothing was as it seemed anymore and may never be again. They had already lost their father in childhood now they have to cope with their mother’s kidnapping as they watch those sworn to protect them risk their lives.
My Thoughts:
I completely adored this book. Dalton has been sent out on his first mission. He and his best friend have been sent to New Jersey to make sure twins, Ava and Hannah are not taken against their will by a rival magical coven. The twins know nothing of the magical world they are abruptly thrown into, but Ava does know that her connection with Dalton makes her feel guilty about her relationship with Patrick.
I really enjoyed the story in this. The characters are really developed well and they feel like friends. Ava is the loyal, rule abiding twin. Hannah is more of a free spirit. They feed off each other and are close like most twins are. Dalton lost his family when he was quite young and has never forgiven their rival coven since he believes they had something to do with the death. Dalton and Ava are instantly drawn to each other but she has a recent ex-boyfriend that still loves her and who is in danger. That slows their romance but only slightly. I really did enjoy getting to know all the residence of Shadow Hill!
I rate this a 5/5. Literally read it from start to finish in one evening.
