Hooked on a Pheonix by Ashlyn Chase

Book Description:
LOCKED IN A BANK VAULT TOGETHER...
THEY MIGHT REDEFINE THE MEANING OF 'SAFE' SEX

Misty Carlisle works as a bank teller in Boston's financial district. She's had more rotten luck in her life than most, except when her childhood crush shows up to cash his paycheck. Then her heart races and her mouth goes dry.

Gabe Fierro is a firefighter―and a phoenix. Like his brothers, his biggest challenge is finding a woman open-minded enough to accept a shapeshifter into her life. When his boyhood friend asks him to watch over his little sister Misty, he reluctantly agrees. But when the bank where she works gets held up, Gabe does everything he can to protect her. The two of them end up locked in the bank's vault...where things get steamier than either of them ever imagined.

My Thoughts:
This was a pretty good book.  Misty has always had a huge crush on Gabe.  I liked how protective her big brother was because he asked Gabe to watch out for her.  Gabe's reluctance was somewhat understandable but a bit of a reach.  Their first meeting amused me, because he was expecting the little girl who used to follow him and her brother around, not the woman she had grown into.
Their relationship was entertaining to watch develop.  Absolutely had ups and downs.  I really liked how close Gabe's whole family was. The family secret has to be kept, but Misty has always known them so I was insanely curious how she was going to react to finding out. I didn't like her boss at all.  He was a jerk and very creepy!  The story-line flowed well and I look forward to reading more about this family.
It was a 3/5 for me.
