My Thoughts:
I enjoyed this book. Grace is a journalist. It is in her blood. Recovering from surgery doesn't slow her down, not even when someone tries to run her over. I liked her tenacity, but at the same time, thought she needed a little more heart. I know journalists have a job to do but there is a fine line they must walk to tell their stories. Conner is called when someone tries to silence Grace's curiosity.
Unlike most on the police force, Conner doesn't completely shut down when Grace asks questions. He loves his small town and his family. He wants justice for everyone, especially his family. He likes that Grace asks questions, and it makes him think that he shouldn't take things, even people he's known his whole life, at face value. I enjoyed watching these two characters get to know each other and solve their mysteries.
It was a 4/5 for me. I enjoyed the two stories the characters were trying to solve.
