Book Description:
New York Times bestselling author Alexandra Ivy quenches your thirst for illicit desire with this seductive tale of the Sentinels—outcast humans with the ability to tread the line between life and death—and pleasure and pain…
Ph.D student Angela Locke has a crush on her sexy professor, Dr. Nikolo Bartrev. When she learns he’s actually a Sentinel with extraordinary powers, she joins forces with him to catch a psychopath. But soon, their hottest pursuit is of each other...
My Thoughts:
I was happy to read this Sentinel novella. Angela is totally crushing on Nikolo. She is working in her lab on campus and he comes in to check on her progress. Little does she know that there is more, a lot more, going on and Nikolo isn't who she thinks he is. Nikolo is a Sentinel, a freak. He is on the path to finding a traitor and will use whoever and whatever he has to, to accomplish his goal.
I liked Angela. She is strong and even when she doesn't want to face something, it isn't because it will physically hurt her. She is willing to put her life on the line when necessary. I absolutely loved how Nikolo was determined to use whatever he had to, but turned out he wasn't as unbiased as he thought he could be. The sparks between the two of them was great. I also enjoyed the other Sentinels and their interactions.
4/5 for me. I know it was a novella but it felt a bit rushed even so. Would have loved to have had a bit more insight with these characters.
