Christmas Undercover (Echo Mountain #4)Book Description

FATAL CHRISTMAS

FBI agent Sara Vaughn believes a group of pharmaceutical businessmen are engineering drugs with deadly results. Her boss won't approve a sting operation, so she goes rogue—following the suspects on a hike in the Cascade Mountains to record evidence. But when Sara witnesses them murder one of their own, they target her. Saved by a handsome volunteer mountain rescue worker, Sara at first suspects Will Rankin is another bad guy hunting her. But when the widowed father of two risks everything to save her, she knows that Will is all that's standing between her and seeing Christmas morning.

Echo Mountain: Saving lives and finding love in the mountains of Washington State

My Thoughts:
I really enjoyed this book.  Sara is a determined FBI agent.  Even when told to drop something, she hangs on.  Which is how she wound up as a cook on a hiking trip with three suspects she has been investigating.  When one of them throws another off the side of the mountain, Sara is a witness and soon the next intended victim.  Will stumbles upon Sara when she is in desperate need of help, but she is too suspicious to see his good nature.
I loved Will.  He is an all around good guy.  The whole town loves him, his kids love him and he just inspires trust and loyalty.  Sara is FBI so is suspicious because of her job, but there is more to it than that.  The back story for Will is heartbreaking and touching.  His mother-in-law is a pain to deal with.  Sara doesn't want to put him or his family in danger but she may have done that without even meaning to.
It was a 4/5 for me.  I read the whole book in one evening and very much enjoyed it!
