My Thoughts:
This book tugs at you and makes you think. Angela is going to meet the brother of the man who gave his life for her. She has wanted to for a long time but now it seems there are people that don't want that meeting to happen. Dan was there with Angela and remembers what happened. He has his own issues to work through from that time but it is much simplier to work on others than focus on himself.
The story is well paced. I liked and disliked several of the characters. Some were just evil and some were being blackmailed into doing bad things. I felt bad because I could see how the bad guy got into what he did, though his tactics were terrible! It is understandable why people would go along with it and even reach out for it. Angela and Dan were good characters and I liked how both were flawed but still working for what is right.
3/5 for me. A good, quick, clean read.
