Friend Me by John Faubion

Friend MeBook Description:
“She isn’t real. . . right?”

A lonely wife and a frustrated husband create virtual online friends, trying to deal with the pressures of a marriage gone flat, and a high-pressure job.

Torn between his love for his wife, and the perfection of his virtual girlfriend, he becomes unfaithful.

Neither dream that behind the screen is a single real woman, masquerading both as friend and lover. She is determined to have the man for herself, so his wife must die.

Christian suspense at its best.

My Thoughts:
This one will keep you on the edge of your seat.  Scott and Rachel have the 'perfect' marriage.  He works a good job, they have two kids and she manages the domestic responsibilities.  In reality, their marriage has grown stale and he is never home with the family and she feels unappreciated.  She finds a website to build a friend to talk to and share life with.  Scott makes his 'ideal' woman and it is all good because none of what they've done is really real.  Except that it is and Rachel's life is now in danger because of it.I really liked that the male author 'got' how the female mind works.  I also like that this was an inspirational book and focused a lot on faith.  Rachel and Scott were a believable couple.  A lot had gone their way over the years and they seem to have the perfect set-up.  That isn't the truth but it is what the world would see.  The obsession of the programmer was scary and will really keep you reading to know what comes next.
I rate this a 4/5.  It was a good read and wonderful first book from a first time author.

  4. I love books that keep me interested the whole time. I find that if the book doesn't grab me in the first chapter, I won't read on. It sounds like this book would do that, though.
