Beautiful Beings (Books 1 & 2) by Kailin Gow

Book Description:
An ethereal exclusive boarding school with unearthly beautiful students...Lux, a rebel girl, who has been seeing demons and angels since she was two...Asher, the bad boy on a motorcycle who sketches angels...Brax Kingsley who instantly captures Lux's eyes when she moves into the neighborhood...And the Hatchett twins whose parents were murdered, leaving them a ridiculous fortune...All brought together...all part of the puzzle behind the Beautiful Beings.

My Thoughts:
I completely enjoyed this book.  Lux is a demon hunter.  She is used to seeing demons and angels, but now she is moving to her new home and it is going to be a big change according to her guardian.  She meets Brax on her first day, as well as Asher and Moore.  There is something drawing her to each of them but is it good or evil.
I liked the whole storyline, it was original and entertaining.  Lux was an intriguing character who has had a difficult life.  I must say, Asher was my favorite of the guys, but each one has their appeal.  The idea that Lux could be so open with her parents was great and I like how involved they were in what she was doing.  I can't wait to read more in this series!
I rate this a 5/5.  It is a wonderful start to the series.

Heaven and Hell (Beautiful Beings, #2)Book Description:
Lux Collins now know what are the Beautiful Beings and the danger they pose to everyone. All her training and experience in the world cannot prepare her for what she cannot help: falling in love with one. Her enemy, her forbidden love. Can she break the curse on him and save him from his fate or will their love be doomed forever?

My Thoughts:
I liked this book.  Lux is having to deal with how life changed at the end of the first book.  Moore is wanting another chance but she doesn't think she can trust him.  Asher and Brax are hard to live without.  She has to deal with forbidden love and figure out exactly how strong she is. I liked most of the changes in the characters.  I didn't care for certain aspects as much as I did in the first story but it was still original and entertaining.  Lux is facing even more trouble and problems and facing it head on.  Moore is striving to be better and prove himself.   I'm ready to read the next one to see exactly where the characters go from here!
I rate this one a 4/5.  It was a good continuation of the first story!
