Bodyguard Reunion by Margaret Daley

Book Description:

REUNIONS CAN BE DEADLY

Teaming up with an old flame is not what bodyguard Chloe Howard would call a smart move. Nine years ago Chloe and T. J. Davenport worked on a case together, fell in love, then went their separate ways. Now she's reunited with the fearless bodyguard to protect a controversial couple on a book tour through Texas. And the reunion reminds Chloe of dreams best forgotten. She knows she has to keep her emotions in check so their clients' protection remains their top priority. Protection that is the only thing keeping them from falling prey to a stalker's deadly schemes.

My Thoughts:
Loved this one.  Chloe doesn't know who her partner on the next bodyguard assignment is until he shows up.  T.J. was the man she thought was 'the one' for her, but he chose to move for a job and she didn't go with him.  Now, they are teamed up to protect a husband and wife who are out to share a message that God has given them.  Only problem is, someone wants them quieted...permanently.  Being so close to a man she was in love with, brings back those old feeling but both T.J. and Chloe are professionals and know lives could be lost if they aren't focused.
I really liked the way the author put this book together.  Chloe and T.J. have a past.  It isn't a bad one, it just is a past.  They were in love but it didn't work and both wonder if it would have.  T.J. is the head of the operation but treats her as a partner which I liked because then both were strong characters.  The people they were to protect were likable (if a bit naive).  Overall it was a great story with good characters.
I rate this a 5/5.  It was a good addition to the Guardians series.
Thank you to the publisher for the review copy of this book (via netgalley).  I received this book in exchange for an honest review and the opinions stated above are 100% mine.
