The Escape by Lisa Harris

 Book Description:

US Marshals Madison James and Jonas Quinn are thrust into a high-profile case when they are called on to t
ransport two prisoners across the country on a private plane. But when the plane experiences engine trouble en route from the Pacific Northwest to Colorado, the pilots crash-land the aircraft deep in the heart of the sprawling Salmon-Challis National Forest.

When Madison and Jonas regain consciousness, they find both pilots and one prisoner dead--and one fugitive on the run. They'll have to negotiate the rugged and remote backcountry through Idaho, Wyoming, and Colorado while tracking a murderer who is desperate to disappear--and will do anything to stop them.

This high-octane game of cat-and-mouse from bestselling and award-winning author Lisa Harris will have your heart pumping as you try to catch a fugitive with nothing to lose.

My Thoughts:

This is the kind of story I love to read and Ms. Harris is a wonderful author that I follow.  I was extremely excited to get her book to review.  Madison and Jonas are transporting prisoners on a flight when it geos down and both pilots and one prisoner are prisoner escaped and wants to stay free.  I thought the author did a good job with making both main characters realistic and strong.

The scenery described was great.  I love the outdoors, but don't think hunting a person is my thing.  Reading about it on the other hand is awesome.  Neither Madison or Jonas is perfect, but they do well as partners here and hopefully as a couple.  There is a bit of romance during all of it, but not too much as to take away from the action.  It was just a good book and I look forward to more in the series.

It was a 5/5 for me.

Thank you to the publisher for the review copy of this book.  I received this book in exchange for an honest review and the opinions stated above are 100% mine.
